I have seen Smokey and the Bandit, and Convoy. Does anybody know where one could get a copy of the movie Citizen Band? I've only seen segments of this movie, never the whole movie. Can one buy it somewhere? Thanks for your help.
Also any other C.B. movies not mentioned that would be good watching.

I once saw an episode of THE FLINSTONES, (not the origonal-early ones , probably 3rd generation) It was an episode where Fred and Barney picked up a couple of CB's ! They went driving around Bedrock to test them out and see how far they would go.

If I remember correctly a couple of truck drivers interfered with Fred and Barney's communications so Fred got a LINEAR AMPLIFIER ! I'm not kidding he called it a booster or something, it was a stone-looking box with a small animal running on a wheel inside,(no pills), well anyways they decided to test the radios again and the two truck drivers wher getting severe bleed-over from Fred and his amplifier and got real P-O'ed at him!

I can't remember the rest of the episode but I was so suprised at the reference to CB radio AND a TX signal Booster being used !

citizens band is the best one.
its the only one that deals with base station operators.
definitely cheesy, but the only real "cb'ers" movie.IMO

anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!

Redneck internet maybe, but not pre-historic.

The internet has been around since the 60's. Just 10 years younger than CB I believe.

At any rate, the real prehistoric internet were news letters. Now those were fun.

Remember the Chinese CB radio shop owner from the Dukes of Hazzard? The CB shop had a basement where Bo and Luke hid out. Uncle Jesse stood by the base station radio at the CB shop while Mrs. Tisdale crooned over him.

Frequency, is may favorite 'radio' movie. They use a ham radio not a CB but still a good movie. The atsmophereic (?)conditions that allow him to talk back in time to his father is kinda cool and it is a little bit of a thriller to.

My father was into CB radios and he died when I was 4. That is probally why I like it.

As for Joyride. man!... Candycane.....I love the rain, it washes everything away and makes it brand new.

I can't believe I don't remember that episode of The Dukes of Hazzard!

I do remember that Flintstones episode though. After Fred and Barney got the amplifiers their voices came over all kinds of things - I think I even remember a mailbox.

Plenty of CB on TV shows. I think every episode of CHiPS where Jon was driving his truck involved him using or listening to his CB.

There was an episode of That 70's Show where Kelso installed a CB in his van and tried to pick up girls.

I remember an episode of The Munsters where Herman became an amateur - but I haven't seen that episode for decades.

I even remember seeing an episode of the British comedy Are You Being Served where everyone was chatting on CB.

FWIW, sometimes the movie Citizen's Band goes by the title Handle With Care. If anyone knows where to get a copy on DVD let us all know. I taped it from cable a long time ago and haven't watched it in years.

There was another show called "Movin' On" or close to that. Two guys, Will and Sonny (Claude Akins was one of them), were over the road drivers and used CBs.

mind you, it WASN'T ME watching this, but the kids were watching the 'brady bunch movie'-the 1st of the 'remake' movies, & the family was cruzin' in their woody 'wagon looking for jan, who'd run away from home when carol got on the CB yelling 'breaker-1-9, looking for blonde....' something or other when mike brady chimed in, 'put that thing down, carol, nobody's answered us since the 70's'. guess she shoulda been on the CEF home freq, huh?
