I am thinking of buying the Galaxy DX 98VHP and want to hear feedback from anyone who bought one.How many of these has copper sold so far? |

After calling Suzanne in Customer service for the answer Copper Electronics has sold 23 of the Galaxy DX98VHP radios so far.
So I could only guess that 23 of the Copper Forum Member's have purchased them. 
Now for the BAD news.
Copper is sold out and they are on back order from Galaxy.

ok let me know when they come in.does this radio do 200 watts am as well as sideband?thanks 808.

I've heard from other people that their seeing 250 watts pep.

I talked to a guy about a week ago that had one(he only had it 2 weeks)and we were 14 miles apart and it was loud and clear. He sounded like he was right behind me. He said he had a single Pred 10K on the drivers mirror mount on a '06 Peterbuilt and said he(so far)is very pleased with it.

I bought this radio and installed it in my "big truck" and am VERY pleased so far.
My "radio tech" showed me 300+ watts from a 20 watt dead key out of my radio on the bench.
All I know is it is very loud and very strong, I have talked to fellow drivers 25 miles at least with both trucks going in opposite directions.
AM is the only place that I have tried it out on so far but I will get to try it out on SSB hopefully soon. |
