it's a galaxy 95t/connex 4800/148fgtl-dx/rci6900/etc/etc in 'general' packaging.....have found it to be a real good AM talker, and a pretty decent sounding sideband radio as well.
at least it doesn't look like this-

that's about all there is on these radios. 'general series amateur radios' are made by ranger, but they take no claim for them (just like connex, superstar, etc) & there is little if any advertising or mfr support for them, other then by dealers. but, since they are ept6900 board radios like those i noted above, anybody who services them, can service the general radios. |
