I have 2995DX and would liketo purchase the KLV1000P but would like to know if you actually have to set the dead key or do you just use the variable power to set the correct wattage?

streaky, thats the set up i use to have!! the way i use it was set the dk on the radio to 10 watts, turn on amp check dk on amp on the low switch, set it for about 200 using the radio power variable, then tune the rest from there?? on high i had the amp dk at 300, with the radios dk at 12 watts i believe?? of course each set up will be different.. from those settings i tuned the amp with an audio then rechecked all to those figures?? if you get the p model enjoy??
