Barjan NC100 ?

Hummmmm ......

I wonder how it works ?

Back in the 50's-60's a form of noise blanking was used on UHF by feeding noise to diodes that shorted the antenna during a pluse.

As the man once said VERRRY INTERESTING ......

I/m always looking to improve my receivers If you can't hear them you can't work them.

Sounds like the UHF ones we used back in the 60's diode clipper cuting off at about .3 volts.
A simple amp brought that down to .03 volts to cut into heave line noise. SIMPLE gagget ....

I remember it had some effect same as a simple noise blanker .... but everybit helps .....

My noise blanker / dsp limiting seems to get the job done but if i get time ill dig up that old ckt and build one just to see how it looks on a 40 year newer receiver ....

Hey Lon, do you think this might get rid of some of the white noise on my Uniden PC 68 with weather bands?

Hope things are going well with you & your's.

In answer to your Question the answer is Yes.

Dale,

On that I honestly do not know as I have never experienced that type of problem.

Is your radio & antenna grounded to a single point ground on the truck frame?

Sorry I cannot be of more help.
