My Radio Shack PRO-2096 Digital Scanner has a slight AC noise like a low hum that comes from the builtin speaker when no signal is being received.
When an external speaker is plugged in the slight hum disappears.
Maybe the AC wall adapter that came with it is not well filtered or defective.
When it is hooked to a 12 volt external power supply the hum also disappears.
Anyone else out there have this scanner and noticed this problem? |
