Since very few people have probably ever used/tested both the IMAX 2000 with or without the GP Kit added and Interceptor 10K you would probably get far more helpful information/feedback by doing a Search here in the Copper Forum for: IMAX2000 & Interceptor 10K.

I have tested both. I- 10k has better performance. A Maco V5/8 would work for you. Performance of the Maco V 5/8 is close to the same as the I-10k. The I-10k is just built better.
If you want an antenna that goes together easy and fast than the Imax 2000 would be it. Best of luck on whatever you decide to buy.
