Hello to Everyone. I'm new here but not Cb's. I'm looking to get a new radio but not sure on which one. I like the 29's but I don't know how good the new ones are. The Galaxy radios I like for the size but how reliable are the galaxy. Doing mods easier on the galaxy or the 29's. SSB really isn't a concern of mine. Any input would be great. Thanks.

cobra aint what they used to be, Galaxy are very moddable, each of them have there pros and cons. If you can find an older cobra in good working order they talk great, galaxys are real talkers but of course like any of them have there problems.Do you want SSB, FM???. or you can spend the money and get a magnum. i have slowly replaced all my radios with the magnum brand everything you could want in one radio.... but thats my opinion

If it is just AM cb you plan to use then both radios will do fine. So if you buy from Copper pay for the tune up, good antenna and mic and you'll do ok.
