i have tried to search this site and didnt find it so i wanted to know if anyone has used it or knows anything about it. they cost about 1/2 as much as a maco, but are advertised to be "just like the maco". im a big fan of the maco, but if i could get one as good for half, why not?

maco's price has shot up in the last 14 months from about $73 to $100. i have been using wilson antennas on my trucks for almost 14 years, they're fine. the mobiles are good, how about the base? any help? aj in central ohio

This is only my opinion. A Maco knockoff could possibly work just as well as the original but it is the quality of the materials and craftsmanship that makes a difference. OK, I purchased Workmans most exspensive mobile antenna a few years back and was not impressed with it at all, compared to other high quality antennas like the Predator 10K and even the Wilson line. The Workman rusted bad and felt very fragile, not going to mention the performance.
Could the Workman base antennas be made much better than the mobiles? I doubt it. Remember that you get what you pay for.Always!
