I have recently bought a used Kenwood TS-430S modified for 11 meters. This radio is sweet! I can talk and recieve from 10 - 160 meters. It gets all shortwave, and talks clear and loud. I run it on my shooting star 4 element beam (vert. and flat) and my Imax 2000. If you find one of these radios ready for 11 meters, buy it! If you find one that isn't already modified, buy it! If I could, I'd fill my desk with them, and build shelves for the extras!

Like most older radios and I have a FT-840 the limits on this radio are you are limited to what ever filter is installed in it ...
Still for what you paid it will give you a good start.

Im on 20 meters on sundays 9am on the 14.300 net before the copper nets see what you can hear the control station is in New Hampshire you should be able to hear him.
On 6 since 66
