has anyone used this radio yet? I saw them at my local CB shop, and I think I might have to add it to my collection. |

I've always liked Ranger products, and after doing alot of reading on this radio I think it's a great deal for around $200. |

I read where the roger beep is on all of the time? I hope this isn't the case but I don't see a control for it on the radio. Surely they wouldn't ruin a new radio. |

I read it covers 28.015 ~ 28.465 MHz stock.. does it get to 29.000's ? For technician HAM it would cover some of the SSB privileges from 28.300 to 28.500 I'm thinking about getting this radio, looking for a good affordable 10 meter ssb radio... may buy this one from copper. I like the ideal of final mosfets in these radios.... |

right on, a fine export radio, or freeband radio:P ...it would be ok for SSB privileges, and it could reach some of the CW, RTTY and data privileges from 28.000 to 28.300 MHz but starting from 28.100 What I like to know is it like the other 3900's or galaxy 99 and so on radios... except with better finals. |

I don't think the finals make much diffrence as long as you don't over drive them. You could run it on SSB Most of my ham radios run NPN tramsistors with no problems ..... |

I haven't really kept up with these type of radios lately, but the old superstar 3900 used to run the 2sc1969 I think.... anyway it seems the mosfets they make now days are better and cheaper, as they can handle more power, especially if it's running dual mosfets....it would be hard to over drive them unless it has a poor heatsink... I would like to see a review or inside this radio...see it 360.. seems to have some great features for the price.. Maybe I can talk my old lady into getting it for Christmas! |

Yeah it's crazy they don't make those anymore... however you can still buy the 1969, but not the mitsubishi version... Though the best match to the 1969 mitsubishi is a CB20W or the erf-2030. I wonder how well coppers 1969 works compared to the mitsubishi brand? |
