Ok got to ask..
Why would you live in a HOA area if your into Radio?
To many are having so much trouble with this and trying to find a way around it to put up antenna's
So why did you move into the area with hoa if you was into radio first or even get into radio knowing you live in a hoa area and can't have it?

Fire away!!!

One word- Married.

What momma wants, momma usually gets. You deal with the aftermath and do the best you can to get back on the air. That's called the relationship food chain.

Anyone who puts their radios before momma is either miserable, or one of the single never to be married again nerds you see at any ham swap.

I lost my wife early last year and have since remarried a girl in Alabama who lives in a cottage home. The have these HOA's supposingly to hold the value of the homes in a community. They don't half follow them though. I'm using the back fence where there are woods to hide wire antennas. Eventually, we'll go somewhere else and I will ot agree to move into another community where you can almost spit and hit your neighbors house! I like elbow room. But we are just starting out together. By the way, I'm getting bolder and bolder with my wire antennas and when I work on them. I think I know the neighbors well enough now and I don't think they really care. Now having said that, I'm not going be obvious in what I'm doing but I'm not as paranoid about it as I was. I actually thought for awhile that if the HOA folks knew you had radios they might barge in your home and fine you for owning ham and cb radio's!
