would like to know if anyone has compared
these.i gotta 2016 but wondered if id benifit
from a antenna that has full lenth radials.the 2016 is very broadbanded makes me wonder if
it has some loss. im sure the Q is very low
which usually means less efficient

A friend of mine had a Maco and it got broke in a storm. Bought a 2016 to replace it and swore it was better than the 2 year-old Maco V-5/8.

Long before that another friend, about 15 years ago, had a similar problem.
His neighbor's tree lost a branch in a storm and destroyed his MacoV5/8, he replaced it with a Spectrum 1600 and liked the 1600 "A lot better".

To me the 1600 & the 2016 are basically identical.
