Has anyone bought one of these yet?
What do you think of it so far?
Mostly interested in the ssb performance on 10 and 11 metres. It won't be too hot, but curious to know anyway. |

I've read one review on the internet Kiwikid, but nothing on this forum yet.
Certainly seems it would be one of those radios to buy if you had everything else you wanted and was just looking to mess around.
The mod looks relatively easy. Haven't used my desoldering pump in ages! |

I believe You Tube has them also.
Is the VFO open or is it channelised?
Could one dial up a frequency or are they only in 10khz steps? |

I have one the audio output is low and ssb sounds like im under water, need to send it back to magnum. and I hook up and hand held mike and my signal drop from a s9 to a s4 but I do like the radio. |

I got my 1012 back from magnum and it works great now nice radio,I found out some store sold me the wrong hand mike I got one at magnum for a HT I give it a 10. |

Hey Silver surfer, are you saying it doesn't sound like you're under water anymore on ssb? Does it sound better using a hand mic rather than the built in mic? |

Hey Bert the 1012 Ht works really good if you like small 10mm radio this is the one. good reports on ssb. |

Yeah, regarding the hand mic. Is it based on a Kenwood pinout, or ICOM or Yaesu? For instance, I have a Realistic HTX-100 (Uniden design, similar to the HR-2510) and the radio can use a Kenwood or Alinco microphone (I have an Alinco EMS-53 on it btw) Thanks. |
