I just got this radio, no mods except clarifier slides xmit also. It has a 5 pin mic plug, it is also the 4 push button on the front model am/ssb no FM... Please excuse my not knowing what I have.. I am a ham who has some ham / non-ham friends who use ch. 38 ssb so I told em I'd put a ssb cb in the pickup to bs some with em. I can not find an online User's manual on this rig. Also what power mic works best with theses rigs ?? no echo or noise ••••, just high quality audio for ssb use. Any info. you all can share would be great.. |

Hi Pabluetick,many hams are on this forum,myself included.
See if you can find a K40 processor mike.
I have one and it works very well.

Yes the K40 processor mic Kiwikid mentioned is one nice mic.
If not able to find one of those I would just install the Astatic 636 noise canceling mic if in the mobile, about the next best thing and well priced. If you prefer a power mic Astatic makes those also.
