Does anyone remember the cushcraft brand from back in 70's? I have found via e bay a cushcraft ringo antenna for both cb/ten meter. If you know the brand, and yes they are still around, what is the quality of their product? This is a vertical with a ring at the bottom, and yes it is adjustable. Thanks for input. And yes they are proud of the price too. :-)

If I remember right, I had one, they are for fm on 10 meters, they didn't work good on low portion of ten meters, they were not built for this.

Yes, they are still around, and with only a few changes from the 1970's product.

Quality wise, they aren't built quite as well. An A99 will likely outlast a Ringo and, an A99 will give you a LOT more bandwidth than a Ringo, which tends to be very narrow banded. Since an A99 is about half the price of a Ringo, the Ringo just isn't very popular anymore.

There is still an old Ringo from the 70's laying on the ground alongside my parents' house. As I recall, it was replaced because it did not work nearly as well as the Radio Shack antenna it was meant to replace. After, what I recall to be around a month, the Ringo was taken down and the Radio Shack antenna went back up.
