Has anyone used the Tram 1465 ground plane kit I have one, and for the life of me I can not see how it will work. It looks like a short will be made between the pos and neg of the antenna.

Check it with an ohm meter. should have continuity between the ground radials and the outer of the connector. To me it looks like the radial are connected to the center conductor, which means they are not going to act as ground radials.
