They are an ok mike remember though they are a noise cancelling power mike and it will not give you louder modulation like a regular power mike will. |

A D-104 seems to work best on the 2510. But, then thats just my preferance...... |

I use a turner plus 2 on my 2600 and it works pretty good. I guess it all depends on your voice and the kind of mike you use. Some work great while others do not. Ive never had much luck with noise cancelling mikes myself. |

Mr. Happy, The road devil is the only mic I have run mobile [36 wheeler] as well as my base. I have problems with soft speech and the amp helps here as well as the noise canceling. This will not increase modulation but brings the voice level up to snuff. Just my 2 cents based on the past 15 years. Iron Mask |

thanks for all the input guys,i got one and will post results as soon as my lincoln comes back from ss8541,(richard byrd)this week. My favorite tech, unfortunately my business wasnt enough to keep his shop going,i hope that he will still do side work, you know how hard it is to find a great tech these days. |

Note: The Road Devil will sound best when volume is adjusted so you can run it about 5" from your mouth. Any closer and they tend to sound nasal and/or raspy. |

Try a Kenwood MC43S on your Lincoln. That is all we run on them here in central N.Y. Not a power mic but excellent audio |

Ok, so putting the Road Devil side by side with a D104-M6B, which one would be best for mobile (4-wheeler, not a semi truck) use?? I'm running the D104, but if I can do better then I'm game! 747 |

I want to try the Road Devil as I run the Turner Telex RK 56 and the CDL 56K and the latter seems to serve me better on sideband, the Turner on AM or both. The Road Devil is a nosie blanker which I need on the road but with the option of power, which I do use use at my base. The fellow who sells me my radios and does my repair work and mods makes the point that the higher quality radios with sufficient power don't need a power mike behind them, they have the power and compressor technology in them, and some run heaters as well so why the power mike? Seems to make sense but a lot of people still want a power mike on the road. Is it redundant to use one unless your radio needs the kick the mike gives? Or maybe I am missing something. Is the Red Devil worht a try? |

I have had one for a few weeks and have had no complaints, my buddies say the quality of my voice is better than before... I run it on about a 6, the clarity seens to work out for me best there. I think it was a good buy, an upgrade from my oem mike... |

I use the Road Devil in my diesel pick up sometimes switching off to the 575 for "higher fidelity" but mostly staying with the RD. Keep your upper lip on the "mustache" bar and the gain less than half and speak loud and clear. You should do fine. Don't talk 5' away from it. That is just wrong on any noise canceler. Technically a noise canceller should not require a battery, it's power comes from the radio. I get great reports for years now. Of course some radios match better with different mikes. I run RCI's and Galaxy's. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. |
