Besides the Chipswitch with Priority Board, 12 meters, and open clarifier, this one has the Channel Guard from RF Limited, has four double on-off-on rocker switches connected to 8 different sound boards, and a variable rf potentiometer. In my opinion the programming for this radio is far superior to it's counterparts.

I would agree, the 2510 with the chipswitch, priority board, and 12 meter conversion, makes this radio awesome for DX work. Mine has the open clarifier for ultra fine tuning.. I never use those 1hz clicks with the vfo. With the internal speaker taken out there is room for much more as you have done with sound modules. The sp-1 speech processor by RF Limited is also a nice addition for this radio. I have heard some say the RCI's are better in some ways. Well, my 2510's been in my mobile since 1991 and has been through all those winters with no problems. On the other hand, those I know with RCI's have had display and cold solder problems occur more then once. Have you ever heard an RCI roger beep in sub zero temps? It's pretty sick! The 2510 does take longer to warm up for optimum RX/TX use in sub zero temps, yet the display and roger beep have worked perfectly in those temps.
