what is the most power u can get out of a 4800dxl its peaked and tunnes doing 40 watts is that all it will do

The one i had did about 50 watts pep on SSB about 45 on AM from a 4 watt carrier but the radio was loud as you-know-what! If i were you id just adjust the carrier down to about 3 or 4 watts and let er' swing!!!!!!!
