HELP please, my brother gave me this Cobra, on the back it has CW ex spk.It is black with gold knobs, it has cw.am,fm,lsb,usb. a fine and a coarse knob, band knob DA, ES,FC.I don't know what that means?, and a hi, low switch, and all the other things, anl etc. I don't no if it is a good radio or not, it was made in TAIWAN, the volume gets low and you have to smack it on the top, , my brother said, is this radio worth a repair cost.

This is similar to a Superstar 3900. The band switch is 6 banks of 40 chs, utilized with the help of the "hi/lo switch. With the hi/lo in "hi", and the band switch in the A/D, that's the regular 40chs.
The other problem is likely a cold solder point, should be an easy repair, just finding it! (or them)
