Can anyone tell me the average wattage outputs from this amp dead key on AM mode, Minimum to maximum, when feeding it 4 watts. Oh yes and suggested wattage inputs for best performance. Thx,

Jester,

I run a KLV Mod351P amp with 2 watts input (AM) and 12 on SSB. On setting #1 it does 45-50 watts (AM), on setting #6 it does about 170 watts (AM). On ssb it does 65-80 on setting #1 and 170-190 watts on setting #6. Watt reading taken using a bird meter. It draws about 25 amps on ssb and gets a bit warm. I added a 12 volt cooling fan to mine thats switched by the on/off switch on the amp (fan from radio shack). I've had the amp about a 6 months now and no problems. My only complaint about the amp is that the cooling fin edges are quite sharp and you can cut yourself good if your watching yourself. I ended up having to file the corners down a tad, just to be safe.
