how do these new rigs perform as compared to a 99v or a 2950dx/2970dx in power output and modulation.
also if its using the 2517 main board how is it the 48t has no ssb? and could the 93t easily be converted to a dual final setup like the 48t
seems like if they combined these two radios theyed have what id want. i do like the looks and features though.

I have purchased one of the 48t's and absolutely love it. I get about 200 watts pep which is fine for me. It is very compact (not like the 2970's). If good performance and minimum amount of equipment matters to you, then I would definetly recommend the new radios from Galaxy. 93t and 48t.

Hoosier for $599 you can have a Alinco dx-70 all modes 100 watts 160-6 meters 100 cycle steps or a FT-840 100 watts 160-10 10 cycle steps both will mod to cb have lots of memory spots the alinco will scan and size wise its about the same size.
If i had money to put into a high power " CB " radio THATS the way to go...... becides some day you might get a no-code and you can go right on 6!
