The 5010 is a spin off from the HR-2510. Very nice rig. Great on Sideband however noisy on AM. Overall , kind of a cool rig..

I have restored a number of these units. Most of the problems I encounter are due to unqualified people making ill-advised adjustments (especially to the final and driver bias circuit). It should be considered a SSB & FM radio. It does have a "compatible AM mode." However it has no modulation transformer and by CBer standards lacks punch. It is one of my favorite rigs.
