I think the Cobra has more features / eye-appeal, but they are essentially the same radio inside.

I thought that the washington was the same as the old cobra 142/ Realistic Trc-490

well ive had both i like the washington myself when i had both they were stock but the washington didnt sound stock but it was. the audio tone was deeper sounding or bassier making it sound modded. the 2000 was stock also with the same mic it nowhere came close to sounding as good as the washington. just my personal experiences between these two radios
