I have been using an wilson 1000 on my sidewinder, and I bought a wilson 5000 off the auction. The coax end on the wilson 1000 is small and screws off and I can get it to go through a small hole. The wilson 5000 has a big coax end and looks like its soldered. Do I need to make the hole bigger or somehow change ends?

Thanks for any help
Luckyman

luckyman, I would just desolder the end of the Five thousand and reinstall it after you get it through the small hole into the vehicle. If your not good at the PL259 plug end replacement and you don't have a friend that is, a larger hole may be the way to go. You can replace it with a solderless end but they are troublesome from the get go so I won;'t recommend that route but its been know to work fine for while until you can get somehelp with the better installed end. Good luck Daveb
