I have owned about 6 Galaxy 88. They are about the best all around radio. I still own two.

I own a Galaxy 88,33 x 2,44,55,77. I like the 88 but the others top it especially the 33's and the 44V. For sideband I prefer one of my 2950's or the 2510- the 88 drifts too much. Never the less, I wouldn't sell it because I couldn't replace it with what I would get for it if you know what I mean. I used to have an older Galaxy II... now that was a RADIO until I smoked it. Most of the drivers around here especially the Wal Mart guys love the 88.

I owned an 88 for 11 yrs and loved every minute of it. Only prob is ssb...when used alot ...transmit and rec will seperate. good units but can't compare to rci
