Howdy,

Any one use the "Cobra M-75" adjustable Power Mic?
Thinking of buying one as an entry level "Mic" for a stock Mobile 696.

Thanks in advance,

Climber,

I have one on my little radio which is now just an extra. They are ok mics. I did a side-by-side checks with my D104 M6B (handheld) and the M-75. Everyone liked the Astatic D104 a whole lot more. Much louder when side by side with a slightly cleaner sound.

But, it's not a terrible mic and will help you over a stock mic for sure. If you haven't spent the cash yet, Coppers has a D104 handheld in the "Bargains" section going for $30 already wired for a 4 pin. Most of the M-75's I see sell for that same price offline so it may be a good buy.

If you are stuck on the M-75, mine sounded pretty good and I had no complaints. Good hunting.
