Has any one bought or tryed one out yet? This radio has very impresive cridentials..... Was also wondering if the conversion was that of a 99V. Boy, if this thing can hear and talk like my 2000,.... it'll be just what I've always wanted! The 6th digit, switchable clarifier and MOST important of all.....The back lit face plate, make this a "VERY" tempting mobile radio. There's nothing I hate more than trying to grope for buttons and switches while driving down the road in the dark!!!!

Just had a fellow from Tn. send me one for tuning. When complete it does around 25-30rms and 65-70 peak. There's a few upgrades that can be done for rx but not necessary. Conversion is diff from a 99 as it's a diff chassis. Nice rigs if tuned correctly.

Icepick,
Read 671's last sentence VERY carefully in his post about the power output. He says it all...

I OWN A 93T AND AM VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS
RADIO THE RX DIDN'T NEED TO BE TOUCHED FROM THE FACTORY,IT PEAKS UP TO ABOUT 70-75 WATT SWING.
I DO KNOW THAT THEY WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY UNLESS YOU RUN IT DIRECT TO THE BATTERY OF YOUR VEHICLE.
I THINK GALAXY DID AN EXEPTONAL JOB WIT THIS RADIO.

606,
There are a few upgrades that can be done in the rx section for selectivity and sensitivity, but I've found the 93 rx is pretty good to start with.

After tuning amp draw would be in the 12a range.
