Does anyone know about the galaxy melaka? Im planning to purchase one, but wanted to know the difference between the Melaka and the 2517? thanks... |

HI Speedracerr, It's basicaly the same radio minus the Frequency counter,Mod Meter,And a few extra toys. Also The 2517 is over $200.00+ more. I just purchased a Melaka,It's an awsome base. Has great recieve and Clear modulation. You should pick up a frequency counter for the bands but here's a map of them anyway. I just order a galaxy Melaka, from copper should recieve it by the end of this week Sept 7th, can some one recommend a good freq counter to plug into the rear jack |

The Aries FC356 can be used with the RCA jack on your radio, and in-line with any other radio. i had my Tech ["Speedbuggy"] hot-wire the CW jack, so that I can plug the counter into the back of the radio for 12VDC for the counter. The radio also has modulation, var key, a selectable noise filter, a 10 KHz switch, and a standard 12VDC jack put into the back of the radio. |
