I have been having problems with my Galaxy DX73V jumping off frequency sometimes when I turn it on. At times, it will be on 25hz when it should be on channel 19 27hz. This radio was peaked I think to 17 watts, but I run it at 0 watts with my Pride Electronics 150 watt linear.

I have been looking at the Magnum 257 real hard. But, I dont want to purchase this radio if it isnt as good as what I have now. But, I really like the digital readout and all of its functions. So, what should I do? Ditch the Galaxy and go with something better, or keep the Galaxy and get whatever is wrong with it? Need help here guys. Thanks

Yessir I did. Thank you. I am really leaning towards the Magnum 257. Thanks again. If I run a 150 Pride linear, what should the radios wattage be set at. I know on my Galaxy with the variable power knob, I keep it a 0 all the time. Thanks.
