What do you think of Duplex operation for 11 Meters? For awhile, some friends and I did it up on the freeband. Takes two radios and two antennas. I ran two Antron 99's spaced fifty feet apart, one for transmit, one for receive. Stay at least ten to twelve channels apart. It's alot of fun and really messes with anybody listening.

Why ? The only thing that would do is tie up 2 channels. In austraila they have 2 cb bands one is on 470 mhz and some channels are reserved for repeater use. UNFORTIANLY here in the us the FCC only has GMRS and thats not realy suited for cb radio type of use. On 11 meters unless there was a band plan i dont see any advantage or sense....

I tried it out once just for chitz and grins, it was kinda neat, actually. But bruce's point is well taken...
