Please tell me what you think of this radio. Receive, Transmit, Ease of Use, any mods that make it perform better, Add-on's like mic's etc.

This Radio ROCKS!!!!!!

I have not even had to run the power up to talk skip. I am very happy so far. Im running the 2990dx with a Imax2000. 1.1 swr through most freq.
under 1.2 between 24 mhz. & 32.mhz..

109 So.Cal.

PROBLEM...... I have tried to turn up the rf power in this radio. Something is very wrong.....
major back swing on the swr and loss of modulation

I going to have to send it back. Im very upset.
The money i paid for a radio to only last 3 weeks
also a bad humm sound when the fan kit is on tur head phone?

NO NO NO. Rangers fault!!!! It has a rf power on the front of the radio. I never open my radios i always leave it stock. But i do have to say this is a bitchin radio. It works great when rf power is down. I have talk all over the USA and farther,
everyone says it sounds perfact. I am in no way talking bad about this radio. Electronics just go out sometimes. :-

How do you all rate its receiver??? Is it better than an AR-3500 or a Magnum Delta Force?

Well i own a AR 3500 and the reciver on AM is too sensitive(it is tailored for SSB use thats why) and will pick up any and all noise..
The 2995 i have has a great receiver on AM and SSB. The NB/ANL has been improved since the older 2990.. Great radio!!!!

try rangers home page i think they used to have one thier you could print up off your printer.
