I am thinking about buying the Texas Ranger 296. I was wondering what other people thought about this radio. I have heard mostly good things, are there any cons?

I havn't had to work on any broken ones that's a good sign. Nice little radio's for the money at least you know what you got when you buy new.

The 296 is a older style Cobra 148........same board, same PLL ect.
