I have been offered a Uniden Grant (no letters after its name) appears to be in excellent condition but would like to know if these are a good set and how much I should pay for it. Thanks Old Pirate |

The Grant is considered one of the best CB radios ever made. I have a Grant XL myself and would never part with it. Use it everyday in my wife's minivan. How much are they asking? |

Does it look like this? If so it's a good radio. A bit pricey perhaps but probably worth it if your gonna keep it.

If it is in good shape and has not been hacked up it is worth it IMHO. Few radios compare to it. I have my Grant, a Galaxy 93T, and a Magnum Delta Force. I interchange the 93 in my Buick with the Delta and the Grant is in my wife's van. The 93T and the Delta have been peak and tuned by great techs and they are awesome. My Grant is stock and has never been touched. I must be honest here in that I can never get over how good my wife sounds on it and this with the stock mic and a el-cheapo Radio Shace antenna that is also old. It is just a great, simple, tough, reliable radio, possibly the best CB radio ever made. |

Hi Guys, yes that picture is the one that I a after, I seem to have had the same responce from everyone it must be a great radio, the forum is certainly the place to find out the good from the bad. Wish I had posted a few questions before buying my first radio, it would have saved me a lot of money let alone frustration. Thanks for all the replies guys.
