Ive just picked up this mic off of e-bay. It works a treat and has the same sound as my Expander 500. Is it the mobile equivalent to the EX500? I know nothing about this mic as we did get it here in England. Can anybody shed some light on this mic? 73 26 OP 141 Tim |

OP 141 Yes, you are correct. It was the mobile version of the Expander 500 and a very good mobile microphone. I liked them far more than I ever did the base version. I believe you'll be getting some good reports back on it once you start using it. I'm surprised to hear that you have one, especially in England. LOL, I haven't seen one of those in quite a few years. Jeff. |

Thanks Jeff and your right !! I¡¦m getter better audio reports on my EX400 than my EX500 base and I use to get glowing reports on the latter!! The EX400 seems to have a ceramic element compared to the dynamic type found in the EX500. The audio quality is similar but everyone now prefers the EX400 on my President Lincoln. I¡¦ve been working radio since 1979 and I¡¦ve never heard anyone use one let alone own one. I thought it maybe a Turner dud but that¡¦s no the case for sure. I work 535 USB +/- 5 Khz most Sundays at 14.00h GMT if you want to hear audio and my dulcet tones !! ƒº, 73, 26OP141 Tim |
