Hey All

Just received the radio and installed in the truck, here are my reviews on the galaxy dx959 first experience (before this galaxy I used a emperor ts5010 great radio clear sound)

Dead Key Modulation
High Power 12 33

Low Power 2 30

The radio arrived with dual final mod and connex echo board and astatic 636L
Galaxys do have a different sound not a true clear sound but awesome galaxy sound that some likes, some dont
The front panel looks good, the buttons are very sensitive as I expected from readion other posts
The guts of the radio rocks!!! dead key 2 swings 33 over, 12 dead key swings 30 over
Connex Echo board I made the decision of placing the button on the back of the radio I think that was a safe choice for not modifiying the radio too much just what I really needed (dual final + pro alligment) I could had moved the talkback to the back and placed the echo on the front but I did not, so it is very diffucult to work the echo while driving with the button on the back but I'm new to echo this is my first time so part of the blame is my ignorance, I guess I going to learn backwards!!!
Echo board sonds great very clear last long time but is not infinit echo (who's is going to key that long???)
I also got a astatic 636l to go with it but I'm having a bit hard time adjusting to it, first I notice the radion swings way more with the stock mic, second I notice the 636L cuts off some times I think, I used to have road devil so I know how astatic works
So until I break in the radio I'll use the stock mic.
If I would give a 1 for bad and 10 for good right now after owning the radio for 24hrs I'll say 8.8 I expected the dual final mod to have a higher dead key I'm new to radios (4 month only) i could be wrong.
If you are looking for a galaxy radio I really recommend but make sure that you hear one before you buy it because they sound different (electronic crisp) some like some dont. it is a very different sound then my emeperor ts5010 that is going to become my homebase
Now all I have to do is wait until friday for the xforce 200hd to arrive and plug it in and see what will sound
I'll update this post with more reviews on the radio/amp as I learn them
I have a question and what is the estimated output of the xforce 200hd with my radio 2dk 33swings over? and how much dead key can the xforce 200hd handle?

Thanks all
