What is the best cable length between the radio and the amp. or the radio and a meter? Can a "short cord" work as well as 3 feet, 6 feet, what is the proper length that offers the best and most accurate signal/readings? |

Crackerjack Yes. I have at times used as little as 18 inches with no ill effects. The next step up would be in increments as you mentioned. 3'-6'-9'-18' etc, etc, etc. Jeff. |

Crackerjack, I think it varys from setup to setup. In my case I tried all different combo's from 1'3'6'9'12'18'. I found for my application 6' from radio to amp, 12' from amp to meter, and 18' from meter to antenna works best. I think it's best try everything :-) Stogie 525 CEF 345 |

Ah@ Science. I know what the books say, but it never seems to work out that way. I would love to have an accirate watt meter, that I knew was reading the right place in the line. |
