I have had a Y-quad do not like them they are not responsive. I have never had a comet but have installed M103's and find them very good.

Tough Forum some days eh? :-):-)

6 elements vs. 4 elements. I go for the 6 element Comet.

i've got the same question but for me it's space that's the problem.see i can't afford a tower so any beam i get will have to be mounted on a length of aluminum fence post and clamped to a post on our chain link fence.so comet or y-quad witch one performs better and can be mounted that way? 73's from Bluegrass KCD-40219 in Louisville,KY.

The Comet will out perform the Y-Quad.

in this case bigger is better, go for the comet, hook. bluegrass, you may want to try to find a used pdlII somewhere, smaller than Y-quad & same performance.
