Just bought an antenna. Its 64 in. base coil from radio shack. The SWR never came down so I trimed the antenna 1/4in. and retested did this 7 times and never got under 3 swr now is there anything I can do with the (short whip) I cut to much off I think. I'm getting really sick of my mobil!! LOL LOL

FIRST Check for any sharp turns (kinks) that you might have missed in the coax. Double check it is grounded well. Lastly, replace the wire you cut and start over. Need more details.
