It says it has a 35 amp power supply. Is this for the amp or are thoes extra amps for what ever like radios, little Mod. and watt meters |

yes it is to power radio and extras. have seen them, they are alright, but....100 watt radio such as rci, ar3500, etc only requires 20-25 amps, but then it's too much power for the amp, so can't use together. ok, so 10 watt radio will work w/amp, but only needs 6-10 amp ps-overkill. 500 watts is wishful thinking, probably closer to 300, so if you were to purchase a boomer 400(same transistors) for about $200+ and a ps 36k for about $150 you're saving a few bucks. unless your radio is too much for the 4-sd1446's, then you'll need a texas star 500 type amp, w/ alarger power supply, or you could just buy a klv-tube type AC amp and ............oh the heck w/it, just buy the boomer500 get the picture??!! |
