I heard there is a rotor that you can use to rotate your you m107 from vertical to horizonal can anyone answer that? |

I have seen 2 rotors used to elevate and rotate beams for moonbounce but how would you go vert/ hoz while rotating too? Ive not seen a decated rotor to flip a beam. |

You could use the rotor that Bruce is talking about, but it only rotates horizontally. Yaesu sells them about $300. As he says, you still have to have one that rotates horizontally, unless you already have one? |

Yeaseu,e-moto and a couple others have what they call an az/el rotor.essentially 2 rotators in 1.alliance use to make a dedicated rotor for elevation and it only had 180 degree rotation.in the next week or so I will post pics of one as soon as I get the tower moved over here. |

g-5500 about 650 bucks and to think my rotor was 79 in 1968 ..... Things have got a bit pricy.... |

Oh ok guys sure appreciate the infor. I was kinda thinking in line of a rotor that fits around the boom and onto the pole that you have and having a seperate rotor to turn antenna. I would like to see those pics Dindin |

Hey ca346 that it is huge, it would be nice if you could mount it someway and take another rotor to turn your pole. thanks for the pic now what is the price on this one? |

Big thunder,
The rotor / Picture he posted is for turning your beams from Vert to Horz and then you use another Rotor on the tower to turn the beams.
And they are really not that Big.
Hope this clears things up a little.

Lon's right,the elevation rotator pictured isnt much bigger than the old alliance U-100 tv rotator |

Well I just looked up the specs on yeasu az/el the diameter for the boom is probably not going to be big they say up 1 5/8 . that may be the end of my little project. I was going to use this plan for some m107 or m108. |

Actually it would probably be cheaper to have two antenna's (One horiz/one vert).... than two rotors? But of course if cost is no object, then two rotors is hunky dory...
or you could get a dual polarized antenna like Lon and I... |
