Do any of you have one of these radios? I've probably owned a couple hundred CB radios, and this one is my favorite! It has beautiful receive on AM, and SSB sounds almost as good. FM is a dream!
I use the stock mic with a Heil HC-5 element fitted to it, and have been told that it is the best sounding AM rig around!
If ya'll have ever owned or do own one of these radios, what do you think about it? I'm just curious to read about other folks experience with it as I am so happy with mine! If this radio is not your favorite, what is?

I have one of the newer SuperStar Grants.I run a SuperStar Tornado mic on it.Like you said it has great receive and transmit.I also run a Washington for my base. |

I got a great deal on this one and it came with a D104 too.Real nice audio. |

Good deal - There is a guy that I talk to on channel 28 who has a Washington for sale. He said that it was in really nice shape, and that it had been "fired-up" with his magic screwdriver. (I get kind of nervous about the magic screwdriver jobs...)
Anyway, I'll probably take a look at it this weekend, and if it isn't too "screwdrivered up" I'll get it! They are great radios, and it's too bad that Uniden doesn't make them anymore...

Yeah I wish that Uniden still made them too.They are really good radios. |
