I seen this amp at a yard sale, it was still in the garage and the guys said its not for sale,it used to belong to his father before he died. So after two weeks I go back and he says he changed his mind, he wants $400.00 for it and he'll throw in a wilson 1000. On the back of the amp, for output it reads: 600watts AVG. - 800watts PEP. It looks almost exactly as a messenger M4V but this one doesnt have the switches on the front, instead it has a remote that plugs in the back. There is a L/M/H switch on the remote. It reads"messenger M800" on the front bottom left corner-The amp has a big fan on the top, towards the rear. The guy claims that it will do 850watts witha "good radio", but that I will have to replace my alternator with something larger. So what do you guys think?? Is this a good deal? Anyone ever had any experience with this model amp? What should I look out for? Please send me any relevant info, I dont wanna get it if its junk. you can reply here or email me directly.

Thanks

you can get a brand new M800 w/8-2290's and a 1446 driver for just over $500, various x-forces for about $400 and even texas stars for $400-500 that'll get you in the 600 watt plus range with a warranty. unless you knew the guy well and he would return your $, i wouldn't
