i'm planing on getting a gpk for my i-max99 and i wanted to is it worth the money?

If you want it for a performance increase it probably won't make much difference unless your antenna is very low to the ground. Save the cash and put it toward an Imax 2000 which will get you an actual performance increase.

If you're having an RFI problem then the ground plane kit may help, but I'd put the money into raising the antenna and looping the coax just below the feed point to choke any RF on the feedline.

it's low to the ground alright only about 15 feet from the ground to the bottom of the antenna.i am planing to put another 10 foot section on the mast early next year.

bluegrass loop the coax as racer said and see what that does. Also cut several wires about 100 inches long and connect them to the base of the antenna then run them back down the coax to act as a decoupling shield. If they dont work the GPK will not either.
