This is a freinds radio. A new c.b.'er, and I put a new cobra power hand mic on it, but the modulation sounds like it still has the stock hand mic on it. I ran into this same problem several years ago with a cherokee base, and removed the modulation limiter, and it talked fine. This radio looks like the cherokee 500, but without the frequency counter. The cobra microphone was used on my cobra 29, so it is not a mic problem. Thanks.
