I just bought a 9000 yesterday. Barefoot i have already DXed 2000+ miles. I have a Wilson 1000 @ 1.3 swr. This is one fine radio; Talks better than a dx33hml(I just sold it). Can convert yourself, disable talkback-add a power mic and your set. Now the good stuff....The 9000 comes from a SS-3900GHP, Not a Galaxy88.Keep on DXing!!
See RCI-www.rangerusa.com & lookup this radio!

I have a Sommerkamp 2970DX from the early 80's, which was before the Galaxy 88... these radios came from Yaesu who made the Sommerkamp line.
