Has anyone out here tried one of these. If so, how is the speech compression.Do you like the audio reproduction.Seems like an awful lot of money to spend for compression and equalizer.I don't particularly care for any of the rf limited mic's
so was just curious.That's all.

I talked to a guy out here who went down to radioshack and bought one of those $20 karaoki
mics wired it to his radio using audio and ground and rigged a simple switch for receive and transmit. It sounds great!!!!!!!Almost a total flat response with echo. The frequency response I beleive was listed as
10hz-25Khz at 600 ohms.I'm not kidding it sounds better than a D104.Another freind of mine, bought an expensive cardoid studio mic,the big broadcast one, that coupled with an inline reverb chamber sounds
like an am broacast station. The possibilities are endless.

I own the Rf Limited mic your talking about.I can tell you that I have only used it on two types of radios. My HR2510 did not like the mike nor did my picky freinds on the other end.No matter how I adjusted the eq. or the compression level I could not make the mike sound good with my HR2510.Only the Turner plus 2 or the plus 3 model made it come alive. On the other hand my Ranger AR3500 radio loved the dam mike.In fact in my opinion its the best base mike for a AR3500 hands down.I am allways getting high praise's for the lound and clean audio quality.Of coarse as you may know the AR3500 allready has that clean signal output thats what makes the radio so great. As far as design and quality for the RF Limited,I would have to say its on par with the Astatic D104 base mike.Definitly not junk.
