I'm thinking about getting a USANTENNA Double Bazooka Dipole antenna and i want to know if any else has one of these and if they work. |

The double bazooka has been around a long time. You will find them in the ARRL Antenna handbooks ....And YES they work just fine. |

they work well. you're not going to try to put it up on top of a 40' piece of fencepost are you?
just kidding!!! good luck, i think you'll like operating horizontally.

Well first i'll put it up verticle and then i'll try it in an inverted v and i'll also try it in a horizantal position but after i'm done i'll put it up along the celing in my room and use it as an indoor antenna connected to my handheld so that i can talk on the cb safely when it's storming outside or if my base antenna is out of commission. |

what is the gain of this antenna. same as a A-99 or better or does the saying still ring true Height height Height!!!!!!!!!!!! |

A vertical antenna is a better way to go on the CB channels.
Horizontal antennas such as the double bazooka will provide better performance on the lower HF bands like 75 and 40 meters. The same goes for inverted V's.
Sure , they will work somewhat but you will get more satisfaction from a CB vertical.
Go vertical , even a vertical dipole, for CB channels. And , height is everything! |

If you are interested in dx on ssb the double bazooka might just surprise you.
