Well my curiosity got the best of me. So I went and paid 60 bucks for one of the new Wison mics. I tried it and I like it! Get good reports. My first report came from Ft. Meyers about 1000 miles away. This mic is much more sensitive than all my Asatic 636Ls. Personally I think these are better. This is the noise canceling mic. Not the power mic. So Wilson takes the top shelf over Astatic for now. My opinions.

Well it will key the radio but no audio. Take off the back and rub my finger across the solder joints to the switch and can hear static. Must be a bad switch. Havent even got the warranty info back yet. Cant return it because of course the pilot 30 days is up. I'm going to break down and get the superstar but I dont want the power mic. Its loud enough with a straight mic and I'm the type od person who cant help but always tinker with knobs and switches.

Has anyone else had a problem with this mic? Mine died after less than an hour of use.

Hotwire,

Sorry I can't offer any help.

Never seen one or used one before.

If it is a hand mic $60.00 seems kind of high priced unless it has some kind of special features that other hand mics do not have.
